Working as part of the Enterprise Data Architecture team. Support project teams with their data modeling needs, including:

·         Analyze physical schema of various source systems; typically will be application packages such as SAP and Maximo.

·         Participates in development initiatives to develop logical and physical data models and to capture application specific Metadata

·         Develop entity relationship diagrams to capture business rules and represent data structures.

·         Leverage shared objects in the repository and conform to established data modeling standards.

·         Review data models with IT representatives and business SMEs.

Experience:

·         Ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of data modeling concepts. Extensive experience with data modeling tools like ER/Studio or ERwin. An understanding of SAP data structures is a plus. Strong understanding of relational data structures, theories, principles and practices, metadata management and associated processes. Strong requirements gathering experience. 5 + years work experience as a data or information architect.

Data Modeler responsible for evaluating current data structures, analyzing future requirements, and designing future data warehouse model.  Banking knowledge preferred.  Awareness of Netezza in how it impacts the data model would be nice to have.  Extension to next phase probable.

·         Ability to provide technical leadership and direction to software developers in the design of database objects and SQL performance tuning.

·         Extensive with data warehouse modeling of Star Schemas to meet reporting requirements

·         Experience leading efforts to design and develop data models - Conceptual, Logical and Physical database design.

·         Experience managing large Database migration projects.

·         5+ years of database modeling and development experience. Strong SQL skills is a must.

·         Candidate should have experience in full life cycle (SDLC) of Data Warehouse - design and implementation.

·         Experience with Data Extraction, Transformation and Loading using ETL tools. In-depth knowledge of industry standard ETL and BI tools.
